Mission:
Continue the established bonds of friendship while fostering new life long relationships as we
lend our support to the local area and national philanthropic organizations.
About Our Group:
Our chapter is comprised of women with extremely diverse backgrounds and ages ranging from 21 to 90+,
proving sisterhood is for a lifetime! Our group is comprised of women with a variety of career
interests: Teacher, Mothers, Probation Officer, Govt. Sales, Accountants, Govt. Contracting, Insurance,
Retail Sales, Security, etc. We would love to have you join us!
Philanthropy:
- Annually we make a financial donation to our National Philanthropy, Pine Mountain.
- Years ago we furnished a room at Children's Hospital. Now we make an annual financial donation to the hospital.
- The past three years we have collected large teddy bears for the Genesis House, a home for children who have lost parents or needed to be placed with alternative adult care.
- Members cooked up their favorite meals, which could be frozen and provided, to the Fairfax Ronald McDonald House for the visiting families.
- Collected and donated bath products to The House of Ruth a local shelter for women.
- As members of the Northern Virginia Panhellenic we supported the Sullivan House.
- Members have represented the group in the local area MS Walk-A-Thon.
- Support local collegiate chapters in their philanthropic endeavors.
Fundraising:
Since the mid 80's our chapter has sold White House Christmas Ornaments. Generally we sell 350
ornaments. A photo of this year's ornament will be available soon. Would you like to order one for yourself

Social Activities:
Annual Founders Day Dinner; Cook Outs and Pot Lucks; Book Exchange; Panhellenic Play;
Pottery making; Happy Hour; Ice Cream Social; Group Brunch; Dinner prior to monthly meetings
Meetings:
We hold monthly meetings generally the third Wednesday of the month, (except Jun. ~ Aug.) at 7:00pm.
Locations vary throughout the Northern Virginia area each month. Meetings are both social and business.
The hosting members always provide great snacks to correspond with our monthly theme.
Meeting Schedule for Our 2001-2002 Season:
- September 19, 2001 - Potluck Supper (bring a dish to share)
- October 17, 2001 - Goodie Bags for Ronald McDonald House (bring wrapped candy)
- November 4, 2001* - Founder's Day Dinner and Celebration at 5 p.m. ($15 donation to National Foundation)
- *This event will be held on a Sunday, to correspond with Founder's Day
- December 12, 2001 - Holiday Celebration (gift exchange $7-$10)
- January 16, 2002 - Fun with Books (Bring old books to exchange)
- February 20, 2001 - Let's Play BUNCO!
- March 20, 2002 - Letters Night (wear something AST!)
- April 17, 2001 - Officer Elections
- May 15, 2001 - Cook-out and officer installation
